Mile Pop Jordanov

Mile Pop Jordanov (1877-1901) is a Macedonian revolutionist and activist in the field of the education, participant in the Mace-donian Revolutionary Movement, member, secretary and voivode of the Macedonian Revolutionary Organisation, brother of the well-known ‘boatman’ from Veles, Jordan Pop Jordanov-Orceto and Petar Pop Jordanov. He got killed tragically as a victim of enemy’s siege in his natal city. In his honour, the famous folk song ‘Bolen Mi Leži Mile Pop Jordanov’ has been sung, which is the official anthem of the city of Veles today.
