Church of Saint Nikola

The small church of St. Nikola was built at about 100m away from the monastery St. Dimitrja in southern direction, just on the slope above the road. Observed from outside, this temple looks much more like a defensive fortress than like a sacral building. Judging by its frescos on its walls, the church dates most probably from XIV century. St. Nikola Church has been successively rebuilt. The last intervention was made in 1921. Above the church, there is a tomb in which 9 monks has been buried.
