Macedonian cuisine, which is a Balkans’ representative cuisine, is mainly dominant in most of the restaurants in Veles. Restaurants whit specific ethno-ambiente offering traditional Macedonian specialties such as “tavche gravche” (baked beans), “turli tava ”, “elbasan tava”, moussaka, “selsko meso”(meat chops and champignon mushrooms in a rich brown gravy), Veles “kolpide”, Veles “pita”, Gjozleme and many more are particularly attractive for the tourists and visitors. Nevertheless, restaurants’menus are very often a combination of national dishes and specialties from the most famous European and world cuisines. Apart form Macedonian, you can communicate with the staff in English, or some of the neighbouring languages.
